It Began In A Classroom.
In 1985, inspired by my mother’s legacy in education, I opened a kindergarten in Hyderabad and saw how children truly learn — through hands-on discovery.
Years later, as a parent, I struggled to find toys that were meaningful, not noisy or screen-driven. So I created Ekoplay.
Today, we design safe, sustainable wooden toys rooted in real classroom experience — built to nurture focus, confidence, and independent thinking.

Our Certifications
EN71 – European Toy Safety Standard
- Mandatory safety standards for toys in the EU.
- Covers mechanical safety, flammability and chemical limits.
- Ensures toys are safe for children to use.
- Required for selling toys in European market
ASTM F963 – Mandatory U.S. Toy Safety Standard
- Required for all toys sold in the United States
- Applies to toys for children under 14
- Covers mechanical, physical, chemical and flammability hazards
- Compliance must be verified by a CPSE-accepted laboratory
CE Marking – European Conformity
- Confirms that a product meets EU safety, health and environmental requirements
- Allows free sale within the European Economic Area
- Not a quality mark, but proof of compliance with applicable EU directives
BIS Certification – India
- Issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
- Verifies a product meets Indian quality and safety standards
- Mandatory for certain products under Compulsory Registration Scheme
- Allows use of ISI mark and requires testing in BIS-approved labs
